DW Promotions is an exclusive marketing and promotions firm owned and operated by music industry executive Daphanie Cassel. Started in 2006, DW Promotions provides an array of services for the independent Gospel artist and Faith-based organizations. The boutique company steers clients to their goals through strategically crafted campaigns. Cassel began her career as Promotions Director of Worldwide Music, Inc., an independent record label in Houston, TX who continues to place in the Top 10 of Gospel labels nationwide.
Daphanie Cassel’s experience in the Gospel music industry extends from artist promotions to radio tracking, marketing and much more. She is credited with an instrumental role in breaking the career of Contemporary Gospel Artist James Fortune & FIYA, by working their hit single, “You Survived”, which soared to the #2 spot on Radio and Records’ Top 30 Gospel Chart and the Top 10 on Billboard’s Gospel Hot Songs. Most impressive however, and a testament to Cassel’s work ethic, is her company DW Promotions driving the James Fortune & FIYA single “I Trust You” to #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Tracks and maintaining the position for 29 consecutive weeks.
Cassel and DW Promotions continue to contribute to chart-topping success for many independent Gospel artists including Damon Little, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, Niyoki, Jimmy Hicks, Wess Morgan, The Brown Boyz, GI (God's Image), Brian Courtney Wilson, Izzy, Gerald Scott & Co., Yunek, Choir Boyz, Nu Beginning f/ Damon Little, John Tillery & Living Sacrifice and Earnest Pugh. Many of these have reached Top 30, 20, and/or Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Tracks. Her most recent successes in music: Earnest Pugh’s “Rain on Us”peaked at #1 and Wess Morgan’s “I Choose to Worship” was a main stay in the top 5 for several months.
Daphanie Cassel operates her business under the highest standard of excellence and adds dimension to her responsibility in the world by also carrying the role of Minister, Mentor and Motivational Speaker. Cassel will soon begin touring Middle and High Schools with several colleagues as part of a mentoring program structured to groom young women interested in entering the entertainment industry.
